Colorado’s Cameron Peak Fire is the largest wildlife in state history. Covering nearly 209,000 acres, it triggered evacuations and closed portions of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Biologists with Colorado Parks and Wildlife previously placed GPS satellite collars on 30 elk in the immediate area and monitored their movement before and during the fire active burn pattern. Watch the video above to learn how the elk reacted to the situation.
