MISSOULA, Mont. — The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is pleased to announce Riza Lesser as the new managing director of marketing, effective February 26, 2021.
“I am honored to be joining the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation team. I truly believe they are the most respected wildlife conservation organization in the country,” said Lesser. “As a hunter myself, I have seen their efforts in supporting elk, elk habitat and protecting our hunting heritage.”
Lesser comes to RMEF from a successful career with Leupold & Stevens Inc. producing the world’s best performance hunting and shooting optics. She brings extensive experience building programs, working with industry partners and collaborating with conservation groups.
“The Leupold brand has long been synonymous with optics excellence. But the remarkable efforts lead by Bruce Pettet, Riza and others at Leupold over the past few years are second to none,” said Steve Decker, RMEF chief revenue officer. “Riza has a vast knowledge of the outdoor industry and a strong passion for elk, hunting and conservation. We are thrilled to have her join us.”
RMEF announced Leupold as its official optics partner in May 2020, although the two enjoy a relationship dating back more than 35 years.
