In Wyoming, RMEF chapters take pride in the Ladies Night Out and the energy these events bring. There is one major factor in making these events a huge success, and that is the “Worker Dudes”. The guys bring the energy to the ladies, dress in theme, and make sure everyone has the time of their life at the fundraiser. We all know, the more excitement, the more funds we raise. Wyoming has the smallest population in the country, so going out with the ladies on a Saturday night doesn’t happen every weekend. The crowd is looking for entertainment! “Team Wyoming “Worker Dudes” show up and show out every time,” says Shawn Kelley, regional director of northern Wyoming.
Spring 2022 started out with a bang with Ladies Night Out in Newcastle in the southern Black Hills of Wyoming. The theme was Boots and Bling. The crowd was on fire and looking forward to next year already. We had the “A-team” of worker dudes, and an Australian auctioneer that melted the ladies with his accent. “When you have grown men not worried about how goofy they look or act, it brings an event to life,” Kelley adds.
Kelley also emphasizes that if you try one of these events, “Worker Dudes” with large personalities are a must. There is a huge difference between someone that has a good voice and someone that can engage the crowd by being an entertainer, now use that same philosophy with raffle and games personnel, that’s what you will see at a Wyoming Ladies Night Out, “As a shameless plug,” Kelley grins. “Greybull will have theirs April 30 with the same Aussie on the mic.”
