Below is a Facebook post from the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Go to the link to see additional photos.
We recently teamed up with local members of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to remove one mile of barbed wire fence on the Winecup Gamble Ranch. This particular stretch of fence intersected a highly trafficked mule deer migration corridor in the Pequop Mountains just outside of Wells, Nevada.
The removal of this fence will greatly improve the movement of mule deer, elk, and pronghorn antelope.
Thank you to the RMEF, our volunteers, and the Winecup Gamble Ranch for making this habitat improvement project possible!
