Below is a Facebook post from the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. For 2022, Fiocchi partnered with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to increase the visibility of poaching incidents in an effort to reduce poaching nationwide.
We need your help identifying any individuals or information you may know about a bull elk poached in GMU 15. On December 3rd, approximately around 12:00 p.m., a dead spike bull elk was reported to area officers on Jenkins Loop Rd/Forest Road 220 in the Apache National Forest. We are looking for information from any witnesses or parties involved.
Poaching is a crime and not a representation of legal, ethical hunters.
Any information leading to the conviction of those involved is eligible for a cash reward. Reports can be made anonymously to the OGT Hotline at 1-800-432-4623 or online at https://onlinesales.wildlife.state.nm.us/public/ogt.
