MISSOULA, Mont. — Hunting, the outdoors, elk and other wildlife, rodeo, western lifestyle, acres and acres of shopping, and live country music – the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Hunter & Outdoor Christmas Expo, presented by Cinch, has it all December 1-10, 2022, in Las Vegas.
Open to the public with free admission daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and running in conjunction with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR), the expo features hundreds of exhibitors with the latest in hunting gear and apparel, firearms, optics, hunting and fishing trips, western décor, fine art and much more. It takes place in the South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, upstairs from The Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas.
“This ten-day run is a celebration of elk, hunting and our mission,” said Steve Decker, RMEF chief revenue officer. “We appreciate our partners from across the outdoor industry and so many other supporters. We look forward to coming together with them to help ring in the holiday season.”
Once on the expo floor, attendees can watch the YETI Junior World Finals where young cowboys and cowgirls compete at the Wrangler Rodeo Arena, sling an arrow at the Total Archery Challenge, see some of the world’s largest bull elk at the RMEF Great Elk Tour and enjoy a drink at the Pendleton Whisky Lounge.
There will also be daily RMEF Calcuttas (NFR contestants are auctioned off to the highest bidder with winners determined by results of the rodeo event) followed by the Cowboy Revival show hosted by Nashville songwriter Shane Minor featuring music and stories with country music artists downstairs at The Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas’ Ariat Rodeo Live Stage – see the schedule here.
24 Oxford at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas hosts a nightly NFR viewing party with RMEF Calcuttas, rodeo action on the big screen and Calcutta payouts followed by more live country music from Cowboy Revival artists. There will also be a new nightly RMEF Calcutta at the South Point Hotel.
In addition to Cinch, other Hunter & Outdoor Christmas Expo sponsors include American Cattle Co., Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s, Browning, Fiocchi, LandLeader, NRS/NTS, Nutrena, Pendleton Whisky, Silencer Central, Silencer Chutes, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Tarter, Traeger, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and Weatherby.
