Authorities are trying to find the person(s) responsible for killing a 5×5 bull elk out of season near Fernie, British Columbia. It happened about 175 miles south and east of Calgary, Alberta. The perpetrator(s) left the animal to waste.
“A number of wildlife act violations have occurred,” Patricia Burley, conservation officer with the British Columbia Conservation Officer Service, told BC Local News. “We would like those hunters to come forward, or any members of the public that saw hunters in the area at that time, or heard gunshots, or any suspicious activity that they might have seen to let us know.
