Elk hunters take their equipment seriously. Every ounce is a concern and performance is a must. The new BANISH Backcountry Bugle, the official suppressor of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF), is designed to be the ultimate elk-hunting accessory. A perfect blend of light weight, superior sound suppression, and premium construction, the Backcountry Bugle is purpose built for chasing big game in big country.
Designed for hunters, by hunters, the Backcountry Bugle is a .30-caliber, fixed-length suppressor that measures 5.5 inches in length (5.7 inches, with mount) and weighs just 8 ounces. Its diminutive size is a real benefit when the hike in and pack may be measured in miles. Yet despite its compact dimensions, the suppressor delivers class leading noise reduction and recoil mitigation.
Besides saving shooters shoulders and hearing, proceeds from the Backcountry Bugle are also put to work protecting America’s hunting heritage.
“Hunting and conservation are key parts of the culture at BANISH,” said Brandon Maddox, BANISH Suppressors Founder and CEO. “From the very beginning, we have worked hard to support conservation and pro-hunting efforts, and RMEF has always been a great partner. We are really excited to work with them on the Backcountry Bugle. Not only is it a premium hunting tool that will protect hearing and reduce recoil, it also directly supports the work being done by RMEF to conserve elk and promote big game hunting across U.S.”
The BANISH Backcountry Bugle is a unique iteration of the award-winning BANISH Backcountry suppressor. It incorporates the same characteristics that made the Backcountry many hunters’ go-to .30-caliber suppressor, including its ultralight titanium construction and compact dimensions.
Rated for popular big-game cartridges up to the .300 Remington Ultra Magnum (RUM), the Backcountry Bugle utilizes six baffles to suppress shot volumes down to 135 dB for .308 Winchester, 137 dB for .300 Win. Mag., and 138 dB for .300 RUM at the ear – all below the hearing-safe threshold.
Utilizing a 1.375×24 HUB-pattern mount, the BANISH Backcountry Bugle comes with a 5/8×24 direct-thread adapter and can be easily swapped with other available mounts for a variety of muzzle thread pitches. Direct-thread mounts eliminate extra weight, but the Backcountry Bugle is also compatible with HUB-pattern accessories like muzzle brakes or quick-detach adapters.
The Backcountry Bugle has a special dual-layer Cerakote finish, which not only protects the suppressor from wear and the elements while being put to use in the field, but also allows the laser-etched RMEF logo to stand out in stark relief.
A portion of each sale will go directly to REMF to support the organization’s mission. For more information, or to add the BANISH Backcountry Bugle Suppressor to your elk-hunting arsenal, go to www. silencercentral.com/banish-backcountry-bugle.
