Below is a news release from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. For 2025, Fiocchi partnered with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to increase the visibility of poaching incidents in an effort to reduce poaching. 
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are seeking information on an unlawfully killed six-by-six bull elk left to waste on private property south of Musselshell in the east-central part of the state. The incident occurred on private land off Hawk Creek Road.
The elk was likely poached during the night of Oct. 25 or early morning Oct. 26. The entire carcass was left to waste.
Anyone with possible information about this incident is asked to visit tipmont.mt.gov or contact Warden Diego O’Brien at 406-428-8700 to provide details. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
